Channel Zero is an revelation from Belgium!

CHANNEL ZERO

Channel Zero was formed in Brussels in late 1990. The name of the band was inspired by the Public Enemy track "She watched Channel Zero". A German label, Shark Records, quickly snapped up the young band and their self-titled debut hit the stories in 1992.

STIGMATIZED

Produced by W.Stach and mixed in Nashville by Vinnie Paul, the album "Stigmatized" followed in 1993. Things began to come together for Channel Zero as their sophmore effort showcased how lead singer Franky´s powerful and unique vocal style could really bring the potency of the band to a new level. Furthermore, their enthusiasm in the live arena resulted in shows with Biohazard, Obituary, Napalm Death, Life of Agony and Pro-pain, along with support slots with both Exhorder and M.O.D. in Europe.

UNSAFE

Their third album, “Unsafe” marked a new, sharper, more focused and straightfoward sound. Produced by Andre Gielen and mixed in New York´s River Sound Studio by Michael Barbiero(Metallica, Soundgarden, L7, Guns ´N´ Roses), this was Channel Zero´s first album to released in the U.S.

1995

1995 was a breakthrough year for Channel Zero wich saw them tour across the world with, among others, Megadeth, Danzig, and Biohazard. As well as grace the bills of many famous European festivals(Torhout/Werchter, Pukkelpop, Bourges, ...) the band played a headline tour in Australia.

BLACK FUEL

Released in 1997, Channel Zero´s final studio offering, “Black Fuel”, was engineered and produced by Attie Bauw, a Dutch producer who worked proviously with Fight(Rob Halford). The mastering was complete by Bob Ludwig at the Gateway Mastering in Portland, Maine, U.S.
Channel Zero split in August 1997.

2010

But in 2010 Channel Zero, the best metal band that Belgium has ever known and having sold 100.000 albums in the past, came back with a bang! Selling out 6 times the famous Brussels venue Ancienne Belgique resulting in over 12.000 people experiencing the band´s comeback. 20 years after their break and with 5albums to choose from, singer Franky DSVD, drumming force Phil B, bassist Tino De Martino and now joined by impressive international Mikey Doling(ex-Soulfly and founding member of SNOT) on guitar, Channel Zero shook the AB to its foundations.
That Summer Channel Zero took again the festival stage co-headlining Graspop and a Rock Werchter show!
2011

Currently the band is working a brand new album, produced by Logan Mader(ex-Machine Head, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy et Devil Driver). The album relased is set this Summer and will be accompained by exclusive festival tour.
